If not, it simply doesn’t have a seat at the table.

Because the most efficient logistic solution is so much more than the cheapest transport or warehouse operation.

The Supply Chain Function must be transversal to be performant.
The best company results can only be obtained if purchase & procurement, production, logistics, sales, … work TOGETHER.
In this configuration the Supply Chain Function is the horizontal challenger and enabler to the often still vertical company organization.

The Supply Chain function must therefore

  • strive for and succeed in really understanding and clarifying the business impact of all steps in the supply chain
  • be the link between the colleagues of sales, production, purchase, logistics, finance, it, hr, …
  • bring everyone to the table with shared and validated business intelligence for better mutual understanding and supported decisions
